Sometimes we are like a songbird in a cage with the door wide open.

We are waiting for someone to reassure us that there really is a world outside.

We sit on our familiar perch and wait terrified to venture beyond the bars.

But truly it is us who need to fly out that door.

If we wait too long …waiting to be pushed….we may completely miss what lies beyond.

We are the ones who must let go, no one can force our hand.
